ABOUT ME

My first year of high school I was introduce to machine shop.  At the time this was something that I wasn’t looking forward to, but later turned out to be blessing in disguise.  The first 2 years of that class I really took off.  I learned so much about and machining and and part making. That it spark something inside on me (my creative side).  That I just love tool making and metal working.  And you can say the rest was history.

I continue to taking machining throughout my school Took up machine technology and manufacturing process and eventually got my certification in Tool and Die Making.

I always been fascinated with electronics and audio equipment.  I always had a love for music. Probably one of the things that fascinated me the most and got me into building loudspeakers was the sound experience I received while listening to my 41” Big Screen TV.  Which was handed down to me from my parents.  What really shock me what the amount of bass coming from a pair of 4”x 6” full-range speaker cones The bass was so deep and these small drivers could actually shake the floor!

This experience got me to thinking, how was it possible that two small 4” x 6” drivers could produce floor shaking sound.

I always been fascinated with electronics and audio equipment.  I always had a love for music. Probably one of the things that fascinated me the most and got me into building loudspeakers was the sound experience I received while listening a gaming soundtrack on my 41” Big Screen TV (which was handed down to me from my parents).  What really shock me what the amount of bass coming from a pair of 4”x 6” full-range speaker cones The bass was so deep and these small drivers could actually shake the floor!

This experience got me to thinking, how was it possible that two small 4” x 6” drivers could produce floor shaking sound.  I realize that the size of the driver was not so important, compared to the size of the cabinet and how it is built!  So this led me to years and years of experimenting with different cabinet sizes and types.  Everything from sealed to band pass cabinets was tried.  The results were surprising.  To be honest, there is no right or wrong cabinet design.  Each design has its strength and weakness.  It all depends on what you are trying to achieve.

We all want to have good sound, that’s one thing we can all agree on.  But how we come to that sound, is a whole another question.  What qualifies as good sound, a perfect recording? The loudest or biggest speakers, the most wattage output? No, its the MUSIC!

Music has always been the source and inspiration, for individuals, (including myself) to create audio equipment that can reproduce sound faithfully at a realistic level.  But more importantly, the music must emotionally move you with the speakers you are listening too.  This is the whole point (in my opinion).  Once you are listening to the music on a pair of loudspeakers, they must disappear (mentally) and when they do, your focus will be more on the music than the speakers themselves!  To me, that is the Goal and that should be the building block for loudspeaker manufactures.

This is what stated it all! How this 40” big screen TV  spark me into

How it all Started

This is a good question for me.  From the start, I had no idea on what I would do or where I would go, but life seems to put you on a path to where ever your destiny may be (if you decide to get out and try) You have to get out on your feet and than life will point you in the right direction, but sometimes these directions may not be your first choice, but if you go anyway, everything will eventually fit in and work is way out in time.

Again machining was not my first choice, but I learn to love it.  It gave me the ability to do what I am doing today.  It allowed me to focus on my creative side and to understand how things are manufacture

Where am I going?
