Does High Sensetivity in Loudspeakers offer better Sound?
This is a question that really stands out in my mine right now (after listening to a loudspeaker). In our mines, when we hear the term “high sensetivity” in loudspeakers,The first thing that comes to mine is effiecity, low wattage and detai. We think about hearing all that low level detail that is lurking in a aduio track. But really, is that a good thing? After performing a number of test, I came to a realization that high sensetitvty loudspeakers may not be the choice for certain types of recordings, what do I mean by that?
If you are someone who enjoys listeniong to classical music or voice lectures, you may want to go with a different type of loudspeakers. To start with, lets go with voice. The human voice has a audio range, roughy from 200Hz to 3000Hz. This range does not reuire an highly sensetivity louspeakers or high output or even multiple drivers in a loudspeaker to reproduce this type of sound. To produce this sound, it would only require a driver capable of reproducing a range from 100Hz to 3000 or 5000Hz. The range typicallly could be looked as a full range driver. Most braodcast speaker system falls in that range.
The higher you go up in frequency, the more air you willhave. This mean frequency at 8000 -
This is a good question for me. From the start, I had no idea on what I would do or where I would go, but life seems to put you on a path to where ever your destiny may be (if you decide to get out and try) You have to get out on your feet and than life will point you in the right direction, but sometimes these directions may not be your first choice, but if you go anyway, everything will eventually fit in and work is way out in time.
Again machining was not my first choice, but I learn to love it. It gave me the ability to do what I am doing today. It allowed me to focus on my creative side and to understand how things work had they are manufactured. By developing this skill, it allowed me to design better loudspeakers to understand the importance of music and how it relates to our lives and even shape us. After building loudspeakers forever 25 years now, I can finally Say that I get, I understand it!
These type of experience we have in the audio world sticks with us for a long time or even forever! It s a unforgettable experience that you hope to have again and again. The secret lys in the music.
Analog sound is organic and digital sound is artificial.
Where am I going?
The Solution
For the solution it comes down to criteria the source and the loudspeakers To create audio components that takes full advantage of the music material that is being played. This mean using parts and components that just sounds better to the ear. Its not about having the most hi-
Time has a way of making things right. After so many years as a audio engineer, you realize it comes down to having a great musical experience. Being that joy and excite back to your music, that means having a connection with that music. This is something that is often lost or overlooked in today’s society that use ear buds and portable audio devices for their only music source. That emotional connection is lost from the artist and their music as well as the physical connection with the media, artwork and album cover.
This is why it is so important to have loudspeakers that can reproduce that level of sound. You can have a great sound audio components (like a amplifier, per amp and the CD Player) but if your loudspeakers are not at the level they should be, you will never truly experience that type of emotional sound. This is why it is so important to design loudspeakers that can give you access to that experience. Regardless of size, the loudspeaker should be able to give the listener close as possible full range of sound that should reproduce all the instruments in a recording. Should faithfully be able to reproduce all the instruments in a recording. This is something that is really difficult to do, especially with small speakers. This is why I have taken the time and effort to developed smaller loudspeakers that gets the most performance from small to med size rooms and listening areas.
